We just wanted to share an example of love in action by one of our sister Baptist churches that our Acteens (from Glynwood Baptist Church, Prattville) were the recipients of recently:
On July 20, a group of six Acteen Activators and three leaders from our church left for their missions trip to Tennessee. On the way our church van broke down and they were stranded in Cullman. Members of Temple Baptist Church came to their aid, gave lodging and food to our group, and even repaired the radiator on our church van. The church members who repaired the van would not accept any reimbursement for their expense. As our pastor said, the members of Temple Baptist Church, led by Pastor Malcolm Carter, really “went the second mile” in coming to our Acteens’ aid. Thanks to their help, our Activators were able to arrive on time to begin Vacation Bible School on Monday evening in Tennessee. On behalf of our church, let me (the minister of education at Glynwood) say again, “thank you” to the gracious members of Temple Baptist Church, Cullman.
