Most of our waking hours are spent at work, a missions field that we usually don’t consider when deadlines, meetings and agendas fill our days. And most of us would agree integrating faith and work can be difficult.
The 2019 Truth at Work Conference hopes to help.
Set for Nov. 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Smooth Rock Conference Center in Vestavia Hills, the conference is for church and business leaders to learn specific strategies to transform the marketplace for Christ.
Truth at Work is an organization whose main purpose is to equip Christians to live out their faith during the workday while also providing practical suggestions for growing professionally and spiritually.
Smooth Rock Conference Center is one of 13 remote sites across the United States that will be simulcasting the 2019 conference.
Scheduled speakers include: Jon Acuff, New York Times best-selling author; Megan Alexander, author and correspondent, Inside Edition; Frank Harrison, chairman and CEO, Coca-Cola Consolidated; Jeremiah Castille, University of Alabama team chaplain; Michael Scott, CEO, Pureflix Entertainment; Russ Crosson, executive vice president and chief mission officer, Ronald Blue Trust; Fanchon Stinger, Fox59 news anchor; and Steve Poe, senior pastor, Northview Church, Carmel (Indiana).
