In his address during the University of Mobile’s 2025 commencement, President Charles Smith urged graduates to “anchor your life and joy in the wisdom of God’s Word and the unshakable love of Christ.”
“This degree represents more than your academic success,” Smith told more than 300 graduates in a ceremony held May 10 on the university’s Great Commission Lawn. “It is a testament to your perseverance, discipline and sacrifice — qualities that will serve you well as you step into an exciting new chapter of life.”
Rooted in Proverbs 3:5-6, Smith challenged the Class of 2025 to: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
