“This degree represents more than your academic success,” Charles Smith told over 300 graduates in a ceremony held May 10 on the university’s Great Commission Lawn.
“Since 1961, the foundation and fuel of the University of Mobile has been none other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” said Charles W. Smith Jr. in his presidential address at the Inaugural Celebration held May 1.
“We are called to trust in Jesus’ authority because of His identity,” Patrick Schreiner said. “We trust Him not only because He gives light, but because He Himself is light.”
The University of Mobile proudly announces Dr. Veronica Smith Hudson as the recipient of the 2025 Samuel Boykin Medal of Excellence, a prestigious award established in 2019 to honor the legacy of Samuel M. Boykin.
In her time as Miss University of Mobile, Chesed Turner aims to grow the program of Miss UM and her platform, “Created to Create,” which focuses on bringing different outlets of expression and creativity to both the campus and its students.
Travis McKenzie, a University of Mobile senior psychology major, has been named the 2024 Army ROTC Outstanding Cadet of the Year by the Mobile Bay Veterans Commission.
